THE SIMPLE PAST TENSE

The simple past tense is used to talk about finished actions that happened at a specific time in the past. 

To write an AFFIRMATIVE STATEMENT  we use a verb in SIMPLE PAST TENSE.

EXAMPLES:

            ShE SANG A NICE SONG

       Rodrigo sent a message to Sofia

We use these time EXPRESSIONS with the SIMPLE PAST TENSE.


LAST MONTH             TWO DAYS AGO             YESTERDAY
LAST YEAR 
LAST WEEEK             A YEAR AGO
LAST WEEKEND           
LAST SATURDAY          THREE DAYS AGO


EX.    Yesterday, I went to the movies and ate pizza with my friends

       Last weekend, we played soccer and won the match.
